‘A dry, Indian dish with chicken, using just three masalas and Greek yogurt! That’s right, nothing else to it!!’
It’s almost the end of three months since I started going to fashion design school. And since the very beginning of the course, I’ve been bombarded with assignments every week!! The first month was all about illustration. The following month, for the very first time in my life, I started using Adobe software, namely Illustrator and Photoshop. And then this month, it’s all about draping, the foundation for pattern making and garment construction. I’ve learnt SO much in this short frame of time!! That in itself is so exciting!! I’ve got a whole bunch of new supplies – markers, rulers, muslin fabric,..Even my very own dress form!!
With all of the coursework each week, I don’t get as much time as I’d like to, to spend in sharing recipes…And I find myself looking out for easier, less time-consuming recipes. To my pleasant surprise, I did come across a site that offered just what I needed! I visited ‘Quick Indian Cooking’, by Mallika Basu, also the author of ‘Miss Masala: Real Indian Cooking for Busy Living’. That said a lot to me and I was hooked on instantly!
I found this ridiculously simple, foolproof recipe, which tasted yumm!! My husband and I loved it!! The Greek yogurt and the addition of spices form a perfect melange for perfectly cooked, succulent chicken. Was excellent with two chappatis and a small bowl of raita on the side. Unbelievably simple!! Well, here goes. I hope you enjoy, Cheat’s Chicken Kasha!!
